Sundays at the Park...

Sliding to a Stop.

At eleven months, Jack can't go down the slide by himself yet without losing his balance. In this picture Katja had slid down with him on her lap and just gotten out of the way for mom to snap a picture. He had been having such a blast crawling, and climbing that he lost a shoe & kept going!

Dirt Pies?

Jack and his friend Jude sometimes play in the park and have been known to explore the environment around them to their heart's content. Here Jack is checking out the taste and texture of dirt. Meanwhile, Jude would like to have a pull of Jack's "paci" before Jack puts it inside the dirt filled mouth!

Ahoy, mate!

The weather was so perfect for taking pictures (overcast) that I couldn't help changing him into his sailor suit and taking pictures of him at the lake with his sailboat. Even the ducks cooperated that day.....
After Jack's pictures were taken, we decided to torture his friend Jude by making him change into the sailor outfit as well. Judging by that smile, he didn't seem to mind.

Go on and "kiss da fish?"

At sixty-something years of age, grandma finally caught her first fish! The fish were biting on pizza crust and bacon...not very discerning fish, were they? Anyway, she was told she had to kiss her first catch-it is tradition, afterall. She was such a sport, she didn't hesitate to pucker up!

"Rolling through the woods.... on a one dog open rip-stick?!?"

Robbie is such a pro at riding his rip-stick it makes me green with envy. It looks like so much fun!!! I have tried, and tried, and tried to get the hang of riding one, but to no avail. My only consolation is that no other adult that I know (including super-athlete, uncle Paco) has been able to either. I refuse to give up! One of theReadise daysif don't end up in the ER first.....

Ready, Aim, Fire!

Robbie tasted football for the first time this Spring through the YMCA flag football program. He got to play all positions, including quarterback (as seen above) which he loved. He had such a great time he has requested that we sign him up again, but this time he would like to play "tackle football." Is anyone surprised?
