February Highlights

Go Jack Racer, Goooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

The Jack man is now a master crawler and if they ticketed babies for excessive speed, he'd have quite the collection. He can climb stairs, but they don't appeal much to him- thank goodness! Overconfidence in his crusing skills has resulted in our first trip to the Emergency clinic. Yes, Jeff was watching him.... but it was nothing that a little derma-glue couldn't fix.

Suzuki Workshop - College of the Mainland

Every February the kids go to an awesome piano workshop. The highpoint of which is getting to play the piano with college orchestra members in a Chamber Ensemble. While being instructed by a "real life" conductor (crouching near Katja above & Robbie below), the kids are given lots of feedback on their playing and how they communicate with the strings. The young piano players are constantly encouraged to be bolder when making eye contact and nodding to the strings at the crucial points of each piece.... After much praise (and laughter) Robbie was told that he might consider toning down his signals so as to not risk whiplash! :)
